The purposes of Field-Prep Seminar are to examine a number of ministry skills in more detail, such as church-planting, evangelism styles, discipleship models, adult learning and leadership development models. We also look more closely at field issues such as culture shock, family issues, TCKs, working from home, lifelong learning, tentmaking and business-as-mission, teamwork and servant-leadership. Further, we examine other worldviews and religions, evaluate apologetic approaches, and grapple with some ethical challenges missionaries face.
