January Update

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night…” (Psalm 92:1-2). The Lord has given us so much for which to be thankful! We have been in Greenville for all of January, but it has been a full month. In this time, the Lord has answered many prayers and demonstrated His steadfast love and faithfulness.

The biggest matter of praise is the Lord’s help in Jeffrey’s ordination this past weekend. On Friday, the council questioned Jeff on his doctrinal statement. This was a humbling and helpful time of learning! On Saturday morning, Jeff was questioned on his knowledge of Bible content, as well as topics in Theology Proper and Theology Practical. The weekend was very intense, but we are so thankful for the council’s unanimous decision to ordain Jeff for the Gospel Ministry. We praise the Lord for these godly men who desire to help Jeff grow in his knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.

Another significant area of praise is the Lord’s financial provision for us. This past Sunday evening, after Jeff’s ordination service, our church presented us with a tree that was filled with gift cards to help us on our deputation travels. This is such a practical gift, and we are so thankful for God’s provision, as well as the love and support of our sending church. We have also received several gifts from individuals in our congregation. Many of them were anonymous, so we want to say THANK YOU, to those who gave.

We are praying that the Lord would provide both church and individual financial supporters for our ministry. People often think that missionaries do not need support until they reach the field, but you can start supporting now! As missionaries travel, any expenses they have are paid “out of pocket,” unless they have financial supporters. Giving can be done through one-time gifts, monthly support or even gifts toward a specific thing (outgoing funds, deputation, etc.). Any giving done through the mission will receive a tax-deductible receipt. If you believe that the Lord would have you to partner with us in any way, click HERE for more information.

Our next step is to close out our apartment lease and move to Lisa’s parents’ home in Pennsylvania. We have 3 meetings in PA during the month of February, and we are so thankful to have a full schedule. To see our full itinerary, please click HERE.

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for us. In the past month, we have truly felt the prayers of God’s people. We praise the Lord for you!

Praises and Prayer Requests:

1. Praise that Jeffrey’s ordination went well.

2. Praise for the Lord’s provision through financial gifts.

3. Pray for more financial support.

4. Pray for safety while traveling over the next few months.

About Us

Our hearts are burdened for the Ecuadorian people who have never heard the Gospel, people who have been blinded by traditions and customs. We hope to reach these people with the love of Christ. Our desire is to build the church by evangelizing the lost, making disciples and training leaders.
